Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz (1648-1695)< Mexican Hieronymite nun, enjoyed an international reputation in her lifetime. Her works were published in Mexico and Spain, and were read in Columbia, Peru, and even Sweden. She is considered one of the great lyric poets of the Spanish language and one of the great dramatists of Spain's Golden Age.
